New York Safety and Training instructors are American Red Cross certified trainers, and NYST is proud to offer Red Cross first aid safety classes.

NYST FIRST AID COURSE SELECTIONS:

Red Cross First Aid, CPR, and Automated External Defibrillator (AED)

NYST’s First aid, CPR, and AED course teaches students to respond to a number of first aid emergencies, such as burns, cuts, scrapes, falls, sudden illnesses, head and back injuries, asphyxiation and heat and cold injuries.  Students practice treating breathing and cardiac emergencies.  Students learn to treat such conditions and to assist in life-saving actions until the arrival of emergency personnel.  Upon completion of the First Aid, CPR, AED course, participants earn a Red Cross certificate valid for two years.

Red Cross First Aid and CPR for Infants and Children

NYST’s First aid, CPR, and AED for infants and children course teaches students to respond to a number of injuries in infants and children under the age of twelve.  Injuries include burns, cuts, scrapes, falls, sudden illnesses, head and back injuries, asphyxiation and heat and cold injuries.  Students also practice treating breathing and cardiac emergencies.  Students learn to treat such conditions and to assist in life-saving actions until the arrival of emergency personnel.  Upon completion of the First Aid, CPR, AED for infants and children course, participants earn a Red Cross certificate valid for two years.
