New York Safety and Training’s 4-hour DOT Flagger class meets Department of Transportation class requirements and is an interactive learning experience that teaches participants the safe and effective practice of directing pedestrian and vehicular traffic at and around active construction sites.  Students learn proper signaling techniques and how to appropriately and safety control the flow of traffic.  The course presents the required personal protective equipment to be worn during flagging operations.  Students engage in practical scenarios, including directing their classmates through and around a simulated construction site.  This class meets the OSHA requirements for Flagger safety training.

All students who successfully complete this class and pass the practical and written exams will earn a DOT Flagger photo ID card, good for work in NYC.
