New York Safety and Training’s study class prepares students to pass the MetroTech computer-based-exam for the FDNY F-01 Citywide Fire Guard for Impairment Certificate of Fitness. Certificate of Fitness candidates will learn not only how to pass the FDNY exam but also the proper way to stand fire guard duty. All topics in the FDNY study guide are taught, including fire guard requirements and duties, fire protection systems, and fire extinguishers. Students will learn about fire guard patrols, inspection records and logs, and fire department notification procedures. Students will also learn relevant topics pertaining to building sprinkler and standpipe systems. In addition to teaching the required content, this course includes a practice exam and provides proven test-taking strategies to best help students pass the computer-based-test.
