New York Safety and Training’s study class prepares students to pass the MetroTech computer-based-exam for the FDNY F-60 Fire Guard for Construction Site and Torch Operations Certificate of Fitness. Certificate of Fitness candidates will learn not only how to pass the FDNY exam but also the proper way to stand fire guard duty. All topics in the FDNY study guide are thoroughly and expertly presented and explained, including certificate of fitness procedures, fire guard variations, fire guard requirements and duties during hot work operations and at construction sites, fire protection systems, and fire extinguishers. Students will learn about fire guard patrols, inspection records and logs, complex hot works evolutions, and fire department notification procedures. In addition to teaching the required content, this course includes a practice exam and provides proven test-taking strategies to best help students pass the computer-based-test.
